TASK 3 CREATE A GOOGLE DRIVE FORM

Google drive form

I have also made a test based on a google form.

TASK 3 CREATE A GOOGLE DRIVE PRESENTATION

Google drive presentation

I have also created a google drive presentation about giving and asking for directions.

Unfortunately, google drive presentation doesn't let upload audio files. So, the last slide doesn't have any sound.

TASK 2 PUPILS' COLLABORATIVE WORK

We have been using Blabberize to review some aspect of our everyday work. These are the pupils' exercises:

TASK 2: RESOURCES USING WEB TOOLS

3.1/ LearnigApps.org pair matching exercise.

I have created  a simple exercise for infant students

ANIMALS PAIR MATCHING EXERCISE

Children like this type of exercises. Moreover, every student can work at his/her own pace.

3.2/ Blabberize example.

I have also designed a Blabberize. So, first of all, I  have download an elephant photo; then I have recorded a file with its physical description. Finally, I have downloaded the video. This could be used as a group project

TASK 2: INTERESTING WEB RESOURCES FOR TEACHERS.

2.1/ Word booster.

Word booster is a website that allows you to put the URL of an online text such as a news article and generate a word list for the learner that includes dictionary definitions of each term and a quiz based on these words.

I generally use it to create different worksheets based on the actual and interesting news so that students feel more motivated.

2.2/ Blabberize.

Blabberize is a photo editing tool that creates talking animations from a photo or other images. However there are some aspects that we should take into account before using it:  First, we should introduce learners to this tool by watching some examples and creating one as a whole class experience. Then Students should know how to upload an image from a free, safe and legal source. Second, they record a 30-second message from the computer’s microphone.

I would use this tool to create different projects such as animal description, asking and giving speaking dialogues, a historical speaking project by talking about the past as a historical character.
Other important characteristics of its usage involve: to inform students about the registration page that includes an option to mark your blabbles as public or private and to get parent permission before posting student work.

2.3/  Unio by Harness.

Unio is a free platform for creating and delivering useful lessons to your students. You can create presentations, assignments and quizzes by using different materials such as PowerPoint, pdf-files, videos, Doc document and we can also see what our students are doing. Thus, we get the real-time insight of the students’ understanding level.

I normally use it for sharing speaking exercises such as listen to the message and get to the building by drawing the path on the map. Although we can use it to introduce or revise difficult grammatical aspects. For example simple present versus present continuous usages. One essential aspect of this tool is that students can annotate their understanding problems, work at their own pace and you can select a student’s screen, see what he or she has done and give him or her quick feedback in the form of an emoji.

2.4/ LearningApps.org.

LearningApps.org is a website that helps us to create simple games such as memory games, word search, hangman, crossword, multiple choice quiz, matching pairs on a map, cloze test, or group assignment. Once registered, you can create classes for your students and monitor their progress.

I use it as a part of the lesson, for example vocabulary review by means of games like hangman, crossword or matching pairs that involve whole class, pair group or individual student.

TASK 2 :HOW TO USE THREE OF THE WEB 2.0 TOOLS STUDIED

1.1 ESL Video.com

I would like to use this tool to create video-based quizzes based on both vocabulary and grammatical aspects that have been worked at the class. But I will embed them into Edmodo class group as individual homework. Thus, students can check their progress and have fun at the same time as well as I would get a better vision of the class group’s skills development

ESLVIDEO.COM WEB SITE

For example,  Telling the time video quiz   https://www.eslvideo.com/quiz.php?id=28030

8

1.2/ Lyrics Training

Learning songs is one the funniest ways to learn a language. This site is an amusing tool to practice listening, reading and writing skills by watching video songs. The instructions are clear and simple: students fill in the gaps while watching videos. However, it is necessary to revise the grammatical or vocabulary aspects before doing this activity type, otherwise, students may feel disappointed.

First I would use it as a pair group resource exercise and secondly as an individual assignment embedded it into Edmodo class group

1.3/ Flipsnack.

Flipsnack is an easy tool to create motivating online flipbooks. Thus, I would like to use this tool to create students portfolio of their work and progress. Furthermore, It would be a great idea to change the school magazine’s format and create a flipbook magazine so that our students can edit and add interesting news to it. Finally I would use it to create a tale flipbook with our favourite English stories through the course
